However, let's examine just what this means. For starters... Each military courtroom Any courtroom that displays these military flags behind the Judge is a military courtroom. You are under military law and not constitutional law, or common law, or civil law, or statute law. According to Army Regulations, (AR 840-10, Oct. 1, 1979.) A. Oh brother. Not another one of you kooks. If the court janitor happens to order a US flag with gold fringe on it, it doesn't make it a military court. And it's kind of funny that, even with that gold fringed flag, they still abide by constitutional requirements when ruling on cases. I see it ever week. Go back in your bunker.

What are Obama Past Associations and Are They Important?
Q. Barack Obama does not want anyone talking about his radical associations. He s even sought criminal prosecutions against those who have dared to speak out on issues that make him squirm. Average Americans are judged by the company they keep, and our leaders ought to be held to the same standard. Even though Obama says the issue is resolved (and John McCain refuses to raise it) voters must consider the case of Jeremiah Wright. Think of it this way: Barack Obama has himself estimated that he attends church twice a month. He spent twenty years at Chicago s Trinity United Church of Christ under the leadership of Rev. Wright. Within this metric, a rough calculation concludes that Obama sat through approximately 500 sermons at that church. 500.… [cont.]

Are all German soldiers from WW2 considered Nazis?
Q. Could you been in the German army without being a nazi? Or is it a case of guilt by association?
Asked by esther elizabeth - Thu May 1 10:43:08 2008 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments

A. No. In fact, most of Germany was not "Nazis" as you had to be an official party member to be considered a Nazi. But the vast majority of Germans did support Hitler and he only did what he felt had "approval" of the German people. Every time the German people would actually stand up to Hitler and the Nazi Party, Hitler would back down as he did not want to lose favor with "his people." For example, there were Jewish men living openly inside of Germany even as late as 1943. Their wives were German women and they stood up to Hitler and demanded their husbands back. There is even a movie about it called "Rosenstrasse." Link below is about the protest. Along the same lines, when you ask who caused the Holocaust, some… [cont.]

Q. Yesterday it was Texas wanting stronger laws and today its another state. New legislation in Virginia strengthens sanctions against illegal immigrantion. State legislators approved measures that will block state funding for all charities and organizations that benefit illegal aliens. Im looking for any information I can find on a Nichols WW2 combat knife?
Q. I managed to find out what it was called, but beyond that I haven't been able to find any background info about it at all. The scabbard is marked Alfred Cornish, Omaha Neb. The hilt is one piece of cast brass with a large pommel and a ribbed gripping area. The crossguard is streight with upcurled tips. The blade is 7 5/8" curved, AND double edged. The scabbard and the crossguard are both stamped with the name of the soldier and his id number, (as was the other example I saw on the net). The soldier in question was in the Army and fought in the Pacific, specifically in the Phillipene islands. A. These are all very specialist items. You would be best to take them to an auction house. Usually a company such as Sothebys will give valuations for free and they have the expertise to know their true market value. I've seen the Nazi Pattern army dagger sell for prices between 15 and 200, depending on the blade, the mount, any inscription etc.

A. I don't care how aggrieved Muslims (or anyone other group of maniacs) are it doesn't give them the right to blow people to bits. And if the "official" definition of terrorism doesn't include a religious aspect then that definition became out of date on September 11 2001. Language is a living thing - it changes over time and the meanings of words alter, sometimes quite quickly. Few people today would agree with the "official" definition of the word terrorism if it didn't include a religious aspect. Perhaps you should concentrate less on books and the theoretical and more on the present and practical.

A. Your dismissal was illegal, so long as you complied with USERRA's rules about giving your employer formal written notice of going to training. Withholding your final paycheck is also illegal, as is altering your timesheet. I would suggest that you contact your unit's attached JAG officer - he will be familiar with the law and will be able to advise you. Charities and environmental organizations are, far and away, the worst violaters of USERRA. They tend to be run by left-wing liberal 'tree-huggers' who simply don't want to be around military personnel. Richard

World War 1 uniform, aviator --insignia in photo?
Q. I'm trying to find out the meaning of some of the items on my grandfather's WWI uniform (see photo below). I assume the "USR" stands for United States Reserves (so guess this uniform would be after he served), but there is also a pin of crossed-flags with a vertical "sceptre"? between them on his stand-up collar, and a pair of wings above his pocket that I'd like to know about. (I know he was an aviator and was "attached to the intelligence service of the army... a member of the Intelligence Officers Association, Sixth Army Corps area" but don't know exactly what that means). Thanks for any additional info! PHOTO:

A. That pin of "crossed-flags with a vertical 'sceptre' " is the pin of the Signal Corps. Those cross-flags are signal flags waved by signal men (both in the Army & the Navy) to send morse code long distances. The U.S. Army Signal Corps was responsible for all communications of an Army in combat, most signals sent in combat were in top secret code.

Why should I bother answering such a questionnaire now? I love history, but this? Ptheh! So you tell me: if I give you any answers at all, what's in in for me? Y'know, it's one thing to ask for a little homework help with the points you've got really stuck at, but it's quite another to try and get people to just do your homework for you. A. You are naive if you think so and believe so. Musharraf is a very clever guy who wants to have his cake and eat it too!. His lawyers have said, he will shed his uniform "if he gets elected for a second term as President" , if not? He remains the army chief anyway and has the right to dismiss the new President as well as the new PM and the assembly etc. and declare marshal law all over again. If he wins, then he will pick up a lackey as army chief who will be his proxy, or constitute a committee to pick a new chief , and ensure that the committee never submits a report, even if it does, it does after 8-10 months by the time he will know what the future holds for him.
