The armed forces of a country are its government-sponsored defense, fighting forces, and organizations. They exist to further the foreign and domestic policies of their governing body, and to defend that body and the nation it represents from external and internal aggressors. In some countries paramilitary forces are included in a nation's armed forces. Armed force is the use of armed forces to achieve political objectives.

The study of the use of armed forces is called military science. Broadly speaking, this involves considering offense and defense at three "levels": strategy, operational art, and tactics. All three levels study the application of the use of force in order to achieve a desired objective.

What are the armed forces physical requirements?
Q. My brother is 29 and wants to join the armed forces...he says he is willing to join any branch. He was a hockey player in college and has had several surgeries on his shoulder and knee. He has been denied in the past to enter the Marines due to his past injuries, but I don't know how selective the other branches are compared to the Marines.

A. If the marines won't take him, the other branches will not likely to either, because the entrance physical is just a basic physical for enterance to any branch of the armed forces.

Does the current Government in Bangladesh lawfully threatens the impunity the armed forces armours itself in?
Q. This country has been ruled many times over by the armed forces. In the process of 'taking over' and 'ruling' it had to resort to controversial doings such as 'killing' beyond the text and punctuation of the law and above all the constitution of the land.

A. I'm from Bangladesh and I have seen the nightmarish events under the first democratically elected government of Bangladesh. There were "Rakkhi Bahini" (RB) headed by one of the presidium members of the present Awami League (AL) as its Leader-in-Chief or such nomenclature. Thousands of the leftist students activists of Jatiyo Samajtantric Dal (JSD) were taken away by these special paramilitary forces and never found again. Present leftist political parties who formed Grand Electoral Alliance with the AL and came to power in the general elections of 29th December 2008 also knows how many of their activists and comrades were killed extra judiciously by the RB under the tutelage of the AL leadership immediately after our independence till… [cont.]

Are all the football players from the armed forces schools?
Q. actually in the armed forces? Do they have to be a member of the armed forces to play for Army, Navy or Air force?
Asked by /\/\ N AL L0NGh0 N F@N - Fri Sep 11 22:42:51 2009 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes they enrolled in that respective academy. Roger Staubach played for Navy, won the Heisman, served in Vietnam then was drafted by the Cowboys. And the rest is history.
