What kind of dog is right for my family, and is good for my lifestyle?
Q. I have quite a large house about 2500 square feet. I would prefer a dog that does not shed furisly (like a husky). I like bigger dogs (like labs,boxers etc.) it needs to be a family dog!!!. I have time to walk it and I have a 1/2 and aqure yard but it is not fenced in and it is not good terrian theres long grass,mice bugs and it is a mess. My family would love to walk it and it would get groomed every second night. I would like a dog that is easy to train and wont bark at evey little thing it should bark at intruders and stand up for my family if needed. I would like a dog that won't drool ( like st.branards) some drool is okay. And i dont like cocker spanials.

A. I would definitely reccommend some type of labrador. They're very much family dogs and seem to fit in with everything you described. Whether it's a golden, black, or brown lab, they're all great. Or, a golden retriever. You could also look into getting a mutt. They need homes, too! Depending on the breeds in it, you can find large ones. Visit your local animal shelter.
